Councillor Ted Bawden and Councillor Uli Liessmann on inspection at Mount Inkerman Scenic Lookout

Recent additions by the Burdekin Shire Council in association with the Queensland Government to the Mount Inkerman Scenic Lookout have made it a must see stop for passing tourists with just a little time.

You can drive or walk the steep 2km road from the highway, but do take note of the signs about unsuitable vehicles. There are some steep climbs and not a lot of turning possibilities for larger vehicles.

You can also walk up the new scenic footpath.

The recent additions have improved the car park, BBQ, toilet block, etc.

There is a new large interpretative sign with history and local information.View from Mount Inkerman looking towards Cape Upstart
